Custom Shower Build with Dual Heads and LED Niche Lighting

Most bathrooms get the basics - a showerhead, some tile, and that's about it. But when someone asks us to build something that actually feels like a retreat, that's where the fun starts. This custom shower is a great example of what happens when every detail gets thought through from the beginning.

The tile work sets the tone here. We went with large-format porcelain in a blue-grey marble look that runs floor to ceiling. The veining and variation in the stone gives the whole space that coastal, beachy feel without it looking overdone. It's the kind of tile that looks different depending on the light - and speaking of light, that's where this one really stands out.

The built-in niche runs the full width of the back wall, and it's backlit with LED strip lighting that glows through what appears to be a translucent stone or glass panel. It's not just a nice touch - it's functional. You've got a dedicated shelf for your products, and the lighting makes the whole shower feel warm and intentional rather than like an afterthought. Dual shower heads with handheld attachments are mounted on each side, both in a brushed bronze finish that ties everything together.

There's also a built-in bench along one wall and a glass door entry with a matching bronze grab bar. Every piece was chosen to work together. That's what a real bathroom renovation looks like - not just swapping fixtures, but designing a space where everything has a purpose.
