We wrapped up our free bathroom remodel giveaway - and this one set the bar high. Every decision we made on this build was intentional. No shortcuts, no filler choices. We treated this exactly like a paying job, because that is the standard we hold ourselves to on every single project.

The vanity area is where things really come together. We built a floating double vanity using dark marble-look tile with mitered edges, integrated sinks carved right into the stone surface, and wall-mounted brushed gold faucets. Under-cabinet LED lighting runs along the base, giving the whole thing a clean floating effect. Paired against that deep black textured accent wall and gold-framed mirrors with matching vanity light bars above - the contrast is sharp. Bold without being overdone.

The walk-in shower got the same level of attention. Large-format marble-look tile runs floor to ceiling on the walls. The bench is tiled to match, keeping the look seamless. We built in a full-width niche with hexagon mosaic tile as the backsplash and lit it from inside. The floor is a warm wood-look tile that grounds the whole space and breaks up what could have been an all-grey room. Brushed gold fixtures throughout - rain head, handheld, and valve trim - all tied together.

The finish combo of matte black, brushed gold, and white marble tones is not accidental. It takes real coordination to pull that off without it looking like a showroom floor sample. Tile placement, grout color, fixture finish, lighting temperature - all of it has to work together. That is where craftsmanship actually shows up. Not in one big moment, but in every small call made along the way.

We run two giveaways a year, and this is exactly the level of work that goes into each one. If you missed this round, the next one is coming. In the meantime, this is what our bathroom renovation work looks like - custom showers, floating vanities, precision tile work - built the same way every time, whether it is a giveaway or a paying client.
