A lot of homeowners feel stuck. Moving is expensive, and the house you're in just doesn't have the room you need anymore. An addition is often the smarter move - you get the space, you stay in the neighborhood you love, and you add real value to the property. That's exactly what this Mansfield homeowner decided to do.
Here's what we were working with: a solid existing home that simply needed more. What we built out is a full addition with 9-foot ceilings, multiple rooms, its own bathroom, a kitchenette area, a walk-in closet, and its own mini-split system for climate control. That last part matters a lot. Running a separate HVAC zone for an addition keeps the whole house comfortable without overworking the existing system.
The interior finishes are clean and consistent throughout. Dark luxury vinyl plank flooring runs through the kitchen and common areas, while plush carpet covers the bedroom spaces. The shaker-style white cabinetry pairs with a quartz countertop that gives the kitchenette a sharp, finished look. Nothing here feels like an afterthought - it all flows together.
The bathroom is a good example of how we approach the details. A full walk-in shower with built-in corner shelving on both sides, brushed nickel hardware, and a transom window up top for natural light. Simple, functional, and done right. Paired with the white vanity cabinetry visible just outside the shower door, the whole space feels put together without being over-designed.
Additions like this one are a real investment - in comfort, in daily life, and in the long-term value of the home. Whether you need a primary suite, a guest space, or just more room to breathe, we build it to last and make it feel like it was always part of the home.
